On November 11, 2023, the Assam Public Service Commission was going to start the APSC Squad Commander Screening Test 2023. The screening test will be administered by APSC in OMR format over two sessions. From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the General Studies (Paper 1) exam will be given, and from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, the Basic Science (Paper 2) exam. About APSC Squad Commander
On April 1st, 1937, the Assam Public Service Commission was established in compliance with government directive. of India Act, 1935, with Mr. James Hazlet serving as its first Chairman. He was a retired ICS officer from London. After Mr. James Hazlet, five more officers, most of whom were retired ICS officials, held the position of Chairman for various lengths of time until a new regulation was drafted in 1951. In accordance with the authority granted by Article 318 of the Indian Constitution, the Governor of Assam drafted the Commission’s regulations as soon as India became a republic, and they went into effect on September 1st, 1951.
The Assam Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation was also enacted that year in accordance with the authority granted by clause II of article 320 of the Constitution. The first non-official Chairman of the Commission following the adoption of the APSC Regulations 1951 was Shri Rameshwar Das, a reputable Assamese educationist. He served as president until July 1952.
