Australian Open Badminton:- The Australian Open 2022 is the only premier badminton event held in Oceania this year due to the cancelation of the New Zealand Open 2022 .The remake Badminton World Federation World Tour for the 2023-2026 calendar, the status of the Australian Open will be upgraded to a Super 500 event for the next 4 yrs with a minimum total purse of $420,000 US dollars.

Australian Open Badminton 2022

The Australian Open 2022 [official & sponsored title-Sathio Group Australian Open 2022] is an international badminton tournament that will take place at the Quaycentre  known as the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre in Sydney, Australia from 15th November to 20th November 2022. It has a total prize pool of US$180,000 & is categorized as a Super 300 event. The event will be starting this 17th January & will continue till 30th January, 2022.

History Of Australian Open Badminton

Originally we, known as the Australasian Championship, the tournament was created in 1905 & played on the hardcourts at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia. The event was not held from 1916 to 1918 & 1941 to 1945 due to 1st World War and 2nd World War respectively.
