China is set to host its 1st International badminton tournament since 2019, with the Badminton World Federation World Tour announcing on Thursday that the flagship Badminton World Federation(BWF) World Tour Finals is heading back to Guangzhou from 14th December to 18th December, 2022.
The BWF World Tour (officially known as the HSBC BWF World Tour for sponsorship reasons) is a badminton circuit of 20 tournaments that leads up to the World Tour Finals event, which was held in 2022. The 20 events are divided into five levels: Level 1 was the said World Tour Finals, Level 2 were Super 1000 (two events), Level 3 were Super 750 (four events), Level 4 were Super 500 (six events) and Level 5 were Super 300 (seven events). Ranking points and prize money are awarded in each of these tournaments. At the Super 1000 level (which includes the World Tour Finals), the highest points and prize pool are available.
The BWF Tour Super 100 (level 6) is another kind of competition that grants BWF World Tour ranking points. This level is an essential part of the pathway and entrant point for players into the BWF World Tour events, despite not being a part of the BWF World Tour. The full BWF Tour Super 100 consists of 25 tournaments, including the five Level 6 grade events.

BWF Finals Tournament
The BWF 2022 World Tour is the fifth edition of the Badminton World Federation World Tour Finals & is organized by the Guangzhou Sports Bureau, Guangzhou Badminton Administrative Centre, Guangzhou Sports Competitions Centre & Guangzhou Badminton Association. It will be hosted by the Chinese Badminton Association & Guangzhou Municipal Government with sanction from the BWF.

Last year couple of Badminton event’s postponed or moved to new dates. In the upcoming 2022, All events re-schedule, India will host the 1st major BWF competition (Indian Open) sponsored by Yonex Sunrise in New Delhi.
