About CMA
India has a professional accounting body called the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), which used to be called The Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI). It is owned by the Indian government’s Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has designated it with the primary responsibility of contributing to the global cost and management accounting profession.
According to the Companies Act of 1913, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India was initially established as a registered limited company on June 14, 1944. The institute received statutory recognition on May 28, 1959, when the Parliament of India enacted “The Cost and Works Accountants Act” (Act No.23 of 1959), a special act, to establish ICMAI (previously ICWAI) as an independent professional institute. Indian Parliament’s CWA Amendment Bill of 2011 was approved by both Houses. on December 12, 2011, by both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, and the Indian president gave his approval on January 12, 2012. On January 13, 2012, the modifications were made public in the Official Gazette of India. ICMAI currently has a total of 85,000 active members.

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India’s only official website can be found at icmai.in/. A lot of people who took the exam are anxiously awaiting the ICMAI CMA Result 2023. This exam will only be passed by candidates who score at least 40% on each paper. The exam was given in offline mode, and it took three hours to complete. CMA Inter Score Card 2023
