About Intelligence Bureau
The Ministry of Home Affairs’ Intelligence Bureau (IB, pronounced “scan byro”) is India’s domestic counterintelligence and security organization. It is said to be the oldest organization of its kind in the world and was established in 1887 under the name Central Special Branch. Up until 1968, it manage both domestic and foreign intelligence; however, after the formation of the Research and Analysis Wing, which was created especially for handling foreign intelligence, the IB was mainly charged with handling domestic intelligence and internal security. On June 24, 2022, Tapan Deka succeeded Arvind Kumar as the IB’s director.

Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) /ll/Executive
Deputation IB ACIO Recruitment 2023 Absorption. Officers in the Central Police Organizations, State Police Organizations, or Defense Forces must meet the following requirements: (a) I hold an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; (ii) have two years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/- in the pay matrix); and (b) possess the following educational and professional credentials: I a bachelor’s degree in
Assistant Security Officer (General)
A graduate degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited college or institution linked to an accredited university is required of the candidate.
Assistant Security Officer (Technical)
Two years of experience and a diploma in electrical, electronic, or communications engineering, or a BSc in physics or chemistry from an accredit university or institution, are also acceptable qualifications.
Senior Research Officer
The applicant must have at least five years of experience and a master’s degree in economics, statistics, business administration, management, or commerce from an accredit university.
