Duration & Emoluments of ICMR JRF
- The qualified applicants who will be given the award of JRF will receive a fellowship from ICMR.
- The value of the companionship is Rs. 31,000/- per month.
- The duration of the companionship will initially be for two years carrying a monthly stipend of Rs. 31,000/- and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 20,000/– per annum.
- On completion of two years as JRF, the stipend of a fellow may be grow to Rs. 35,000/- p.m. for 3rd year on the basis of the assessment of applicants research progress/achievements.
- The fellow will carry on with as JRF with a stipend of Rs. 31,000/- per month for the 3rd year in the event of the Committee not recommending up-gradation or his/her fellowship may be end depending on the decision of the Committee.
- The duration as SRF may be for a maximum duration of 3rd years or submission of a Ph.D. thesis whichever is untimely. Thus, the total tenure as JRF plus SRF shall not exceed 5th years.
