Johnny Depp began his career as a rock musician aged 16 in 1979. When he was 20, he and his band created the move to Los Angeles. Depp’s ex-wife Lori Ann Allison listed him to artist Nicolas Cage after the band broke up. Cage encouraged him to chase a career in acting after they flatter drinking pills.
After reading a biography of James Dean and seeing Rebel Without a Cause, Johnny Depp flatter interested in acting. A Nightmare on Elm Street audition supported Depp secure an audition with Wes Craven; Depp, who had no performing experience, told he “wound up acting by mistake”.
