Kusum Yojana Registration:- The main objective of starting the Kusum Yojana is to provide solar powered solar pumps for irrigation to the farmers. Under this scheme, the Central Government and Rajasthan State Government will convert 3 crore petrol and diesel irrigation pumps into Solar Energy Pumps.

About Kusum Yojana

As you know that there are many states in India where there is drought. And the farming of the farmers who do farming there have to suffer losses due to drought. Keeping this in mind, the Central Government has started PM Kusum Yojana 2024. The main objective of this scheme is to provide free electricity to the farmers of the country. 15000 solar pumps will be installe in Uttar Pradesh

The first budget of his second term was presente by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 26 May 2024 Under this budget, it was announce to install 15000 solar pumps to provide free irrigation to the farmers under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha and Utthan Maha Abhiyan Yojana. Extension of last date for deposit of security amount

The last date for depositing project security amount of projects register under Kusum Yojana was fixe as 30 November 2021. Which has now been extend to 15 December 2021. Kusum Yojana Registration

Under Kusum Yojana, applications can be made through both online and offline means. Under this scheme, application can be made for the establishment of solar power plant and for giving land on lease. The list of all the applicants who have register to give their land on lease will be display by RREC on the official website. All those citizens who want to take land on lease for setting up solar power plant can get the list of applicants from RREC website after which they can contact the register applicants and apply for setting up the plant.

If online registration has been done by the applicant then the applicant will get the Application ID. In case of online application, the applicant must keep the print out of the application form safe with him. If the application is made offline by the applicant, then a receipt will be given to the applicant, which the applicant will have to preserve. All the important documents have to be submitted by the application to apply.

Kusum Yojana Application Fee

Under this scheme, the applicant will have to pay an application fee at the rate of ₹ 5000 per MW and GST to apply for a solar power plant. This payment will be made in the form of demand draft in the name of Managing Director Rajasthan Akshay Urja Nigam. For applying from 0.5 MW to 2 MW, the application fee is as follows.

Rajasthan Kusum Yojana Cost and Income

In the coming time, about 20 lakh farmers will be covers under this scheme. Through this, the target of doubling the income of the farmers by the year 2024 will be achieve. Earlier, a target was set to cover 17.5 lakh farmers under the Kusum scheme. Rajasthan Kusum Scheme Registration 2024

Solar power plant installation period under Kusum scheme

After applying under Kusum Yojana, letter of authorization will be issue by the concern department to the SPG for setting up the solar power plant. It is mandatory to set up the solar power plant within a period of 9 months from the date of issue of Letter of Authorization. If the solar power plant is not install within this period, penalty will have to be paid. This penalty will be recover as per the terms of the PPA. It is mandatory for the solar power plant to maintain an annual capacity utilization factor of at least 15% during the PPA period. If the capacity utilization factor is less than 15%, then in this case compensation will have to be given. If the documents submits by the SPG are found to be incorrect then the application can be reject at any stage.

Kusum Yojana Energy plants established in Rajasthan

Hundreds of solar power plants have been allotter to the farmers of the state under this scheme. Rajasthan is the first state in the country which has completed the selection process of farmers. President of Rajasthan Akshay Urja Nigam and Principal Government Secretary Energy Ajitabh Sharma said that in the first phase of this scheme, 33.11 KV of distribution corporations will be supplier by the corporation. Proposals were invite from farmers for setting up decentralize solar power plants at sub-stations, under which farmers of the state show unprecedented enthusiasm and a total of 674 farmers applier for a capacity of 815 MW. Components of Kusum Yojana

There are four components of Kusum Yojana which are as follows.

  • Solar Pump Distribution: During the first phase of Kusum Yojana, the Electricity Department, in collaboration with the Central Government Departments, will successfully distribute solar powered pumps.
  • Construction of solar power factory: Solar power factories will be built which have the capacity to produce sufficient amount of electricity.
  • Establishment of Tub wells: Tub wells will be establish by the government which will generate certain amount of electricity.
    Modernization of existing pumps: Modernization of existing pumps will also be done Story Old pumps will be replace with new solar pumps.

Under the first draft of Kusum Yojana, these plants will be set up in infertile areas which are capable of producing 28000 MW of electricity. In the first phase, 17.5 lakh solar power pumps will be made available to the farmers by the government. Eligibility of Kusum Yojana

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
  • Under the Kusum Yojana, the applicant can apply for a solar power plant with a capacity of 0.5 MW to 2 MW.
  • The applicant can apply for 2 MW capacity in proportion to his land or the capacity notify by the Distribution Corporation (whichever is less).
  • About 2 hectares of land would be require per MW.
  • Under this scheme, there is no need for any kind of financial qualification for the project with own investment.
