The Council of Higher Secondary Education, also known as COHSEM, was founded in 1992. Prior to its founding, the state’s +2 courses were administered by the Board of Secondary Education in Manipur as pre-university courses in the colleges and Higher Secondary examination courses in the Higher Secondary Schools.
