Mohit Raina Wiki Biography:- Mohit Raina is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films and television. He started his acting career with a science fiction show Antariksh (2004) and later went on to play a role in Don Muthu Swami (2008). He is best known for the lead role of the Hindu god Shiva in the television series Devon Ke Dev – Mahadev and Mahabharat, prior to which he had acted in television soap operas including Chehra (2009) and Ganga Kii Dheej (2010).

Mohit Raina was born into a Kashmiri Brahmin family on 14 August 1982 to P.L. Raina & Sushma Kumara and grew up in Jammu. He was studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Jammu & got a bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Jammu. Mohit shifted to Mumbai to start a career in modelling. He hoped that modelling would offer him with a path into performing work and lost 29 kilograms (64 lbs) from his teenage weight of 107 kilograms (236 lbs) so that he could join in the 2005 Grasim Mister India modelling contest. Mohit Raina was premiered among the top 5 participants in that competition.

Career
His acting career started in 2006 when he performed in a science fiction TV show named Antariksh that ventilated on Star Plus. In 2008, he starred as JaiKishan in a comedy film named Don Muthu Swami, starring artist Mithun Chakraborty in the key role, but the movie too did not do well. He again come back to tv in 2009 with another Star Plus show named Chehra, a suspense drama revolving around a handicapped girl. Mohit portrayed her husband Garv, a young business tycoon.
Mohit Raina was as well a part of the TV series Bandini(NDTV Imagine). In December 2010, a show Ganga Kii Dheej ventilated on Sahara One, which dealt with the ordeals of young unmarried girls in a village named Kaliganj based in rural West Bengal. Mohit Raina portrayed the male solid, Agantuk, who plays a pivotal character in eradication of the evil customs of the village.
