About Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana
Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana has been launcher by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot on 17th July. The launch has been done through video conferencing. Various schemes worth Rs 308 crore of Energy Department have also been inaugurate by the Chief Minister through this video conferencing. Through this scheme, farmers will be provide a grant of ₹ 1000 per month on the electricity bill by the government. This grant will be disburse directly into the bank account of the farmer. The benefit of this scheme will be provide on the electricity bill from May. It has also been inform by the Chief Minister that by the year 2024 the target of solar energy will also be achieve.
Through the Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana, agricultural electricity will become almost free of cost for small and middle class farmers.

There is also a Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana from Jism. So far 11.57 lakh farmers have been benefit through this scheme. Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana additional grants
Under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana, along with the tariff subsidy currently being given to general category meters and flat rate agricultural consumers in rural areas, additional subsidy will also be provide.This additional grant will be of ₹ 1000 per month. Maximum additional grant of ₹ 12000 will be provide in 1 year. This additional grant will be provide subject to the following conditions.
- This scheme will be implement on the agricultural bills issue in the month of May and thereafter in all the three power distribution corporations.
- Electricity bill will be issue by Vidyut Vitran Nigam every two months on the basis of compliance of budget announcement.
- This additional grant amount will be given only to general category rural meters and flat rate category agricultural consumers.
- If there is no past due amount at the time of issue of bill in the current billing month, then in this case the grant amount in the electricity bill will be adjust as per this circular.
- Consumers will be motivate to pay their electricity bills on the due date.
- If the recharge amount of the consumer is less than ₹ 1000 in any financial year, then in this case the balance amount will be adjust in the remaining next month of the same financial year.
- If new connection is release in the middle of the year, in that case the annual limit of subsidy will be payable proportionately.
- Every month the information about the number of all the beneficiary farmers and the grant given to them will be provide to the Finance Department.
- Vidyut Vitran Nigam will have to provide information to the Finance Department including the additional grant amount to be provide under this scheme and the proposal for the next financial year.
- This information has to be provide through BFC meeting.
- So that the provision of grant amount can be ensure by the Finance Department.
- The beneficiary will have to link his electricity account number with Aadhaar number and bank account number to get additional grant amount.
- If electricity is misuse by the consumer or electricity is stolen or in case of electricity theft and damage to corporation property, the grant amount will be given to the consumer in the next billing month after his acquittal or after depositing the entire charge amount.

Objective of Chief Minister Kisan Mitra Energy Scheme
The main objective of Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana 2023 is to provide subsidy on electricity bill to the farmers. Through this scheme, a maximum grant amount of ₹ 1000 per month will be provide on the electricity bill of the farmers. So that farmer consumers will get help in paying their bills. Apart from this, farmers will also be encourage to save electricity through the Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana. For which if the farmer’s bill comes less than ₹ 1000 per month, then in this case the difference between the bill amount and the grant amount will be transferrer to the beneficiary’s account.
Dues against Beneficiary dues in Vidyut Vitran Nigam
The benefit of this scheme can be avails by the farmer consumer only when there is no outstanding due against the beneficiary in the Electricity Distribution Corporation. In case of arrears, if the agriculture consumer pays the arrears, then in this case the grant amount will be payable in the upcoming electricity bill.
Apart from this, if a farmer uses less electricity and his electricity bill comes less than ₹ 1000, then the difference between the bill amount and the grant amount will be deposit in the beneficiary’s account. So that farmers and consumers can be encourage to save electricity. The benefit of Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana cannot be availe by the Central and State Government employees. To get the benefit of this scheme, it will be mandatory for the beneficiary to link his Aadhaar number with the bank account.
