Passport Seva Programme:- Speaking at the Passport Seva Diva, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar said, “India will launch the second phase of the Passport Seva Program (PSP version 2.0).”
New and renewed ePassports are included in the Passport Seva 2.0 program. Jaishankar called on relevant authorities to renew their pledges to provide citizens with passports and related services in a “timely, reliable, accessible, transparent and effective manner”.

According to Jaishankar, We will shortly start the Passport Seva Programme (PSP) Version 2.0, which will contain new and improved e-passports. These efforts will give a new paradigm of “EASE” in keeping with the Prime Minister’s goal of improving the “Ease of Living” for citizens: E: Enhanced the Digital eco-system passport services for the public A: AI-powered service delivery system S: Smoother international travel using chip-enabled e-passports, E: Enhanced data security”.
Jaishankar said the Passport Seva Programme 2024 has made a significant contribution to the government’s efforts to build a ‘Digital India’ with achievements such as the mPassport Seva mobile app, mPassport Police app, PSP integration with DigiLocker and the Apply from Anywhere program. Stated. He said this was an opportunity to reflect on achievements to date and reaffirm India’s determination to work towards achieving the highest standards in the provision of passport services.
