About Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana

Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) was establish in 1985 as part of the Rural Landless Employment Guarantee Program (RLEGP). In 1989, it became part of Jawahar Rozgar Yojana (JRY), but it has continue to function independently since January 1, 1996. This program was made available to non-SC/ST groups as well in 1993-1994. From 1995 to 1996, the program was expand to include widows or next-of-kin of military personnel killed in action, former service members, and retire paramilitary forces who want to live in rural areas as long as they meet the basic eligibility requirements.

Since India’s independence, the government’s welfare programs have focuse on providing adequate housing for refugees and villagers because the country has historically been a populous and poor one. Since the 1950s, various welfare programs like the House Sites and Construction Assistance Scheme have been in operation. However, under the Rural Landless Employment Guarantee Program (RLEGP), a focused fund for the construction of housing for schedule castes (SCs), scheduled tribes (STs), and freed bonded labor was only establisher in 1983. IAY was born as a result of this in the 1985–86 fiscal year.

In 1985, Rajiv Gandhi, the then-Indian Prime Minister, launch the “Indira Awas Yojana” (IAY), which was rename the “Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana” (PMGAY) in 2015.

Punjab’s pending amount of Rs 35.28 crore will be release under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana

Union Minister of State for Panchayat Raj Kapil Moreshwar Patil has ordere Punjab to release the pending amount of Rs 35.28 crore under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2024 on Tuesday, 23rd August. According to an official statement, Patil gave this direction when he was in Punjab to attend an event and was inform about the pending funds under the scheme by Punjab Rural Development Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal.

Minister Kuldeep Singh has told Minister Kapil Moreshwar Patil that the funds for his centrally sponsore schemes related to rural development are stuck with the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj. After receiving all this information, Patil ji has order release of Rs 35.28 crore for construction of 10654 new houses and completion of 7293 under-construction houses in Punjab.

The benefit of the scheme will be provide to 5 lakh beneficiaries in Assam

Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma and Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh decide on 20 May 2022 to provide benefits of the scheme to 5 lakh citizens of Assam under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. Out of which acceptance letters were given to 12 beneficiaries. On this occasion, information was provide by the Chief Minister that the process of providing houses under this scheme would be start from Jorhat and would be conduct in the entire state.

In the year 2014, 19 lakh houses were sanction by the Central Government for Assam with a financial outlay of Rs 27000 crores. An amount of Rs 1657.50 crore was disburse to the beneficiaries as the first instalment. Out of 12000 beneficiaries in Jorhat district, 4000 beneficiaries belong to the planter community.

Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana has been extended for 3 years

On December 8, the Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of Gramin Awas Yojana for the next 3 years. This information has been provide by Union Minister Anurag Thakur through a media briefing. Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana has been extend from March to March 2024. Now remaining eligible citizens living in rural areas will be able to get pucca houses through this scheme. After expanding this scheme, the remaining 155.75 lakh houses will be construct. This will help in achieving the target of construction of 2.95 crore houses. 198581 crore rupees will be spent by the government in the construction of 155.75 lakh houses.

Home entry of 1.25 lakh families was done in Madhya Pradesh

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, by the year 2022, the target of providing pucca houses to all homeless families was set by the Prime Minister of our country, Narendra Modi. Madhya Pradesh is second in the implementation of this scheme. Every year 3.25 lakh houses are built in Madhya Pradesh under this scheme.

Maha Gramin Awas Yojana

Maha Awas Yojana has been start by the Government of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, 8.82 lakh houses will be built in the coming 100 days in the rural areas of Maharashtra. These 100 days will be from 20 November 2020 to 28 February. Maha Awas Yojana Gramin will be operate by the Rural Development Department of Maharashtra. The houses built under the Maha Awas Yojana will include toilets and other essential facilities.

A budget of Rs 4000 crore has been allocate by the government for this scheme. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra has assure during the launch of this scheme that there will be no shortage of funds for this scheme. Features of Rural Housing Scheme PM 2024

Under this scheme, financial assistance will be provide for construction of 1 crore houses.
Under the Rural Housing Scheme 2024, the space for housing construction will be increase from 20 square meters to 25 square meters, including the area for kitchen.
Under this scheme, unit assistance in plain areas is Rs 1.20 lakh and in hilly areas the unit assistance is Rs 1.30 lakh.

Some important information related to Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana

Toilet has been made an integral part of Gramin Awas Yojana.
The house will be consider complete only after the toilet is construct.
An amount of ₹ 12000 will be made available by the government for the construction of toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission.

How to register online for Gramin Awas Yojana 2024?

Under this scheme, only people from rural areas can apply, whose name will be in the 2011 Socio-Economic Caste Census list. If your name is in this list, you will be given a username and password for online registration from the regional panchayat. Under PMAY Gramin 2024, you can fill the application form with this username and password and by applying, people from the weaker sections of the rural areas can take advantage of this scheme and fulfill their dream of building a pucca house. The application under Gramin Awas Yojana 2024 will be complete in three phases.

First stage

First of all, you go to the official website of PM Gramin Awas Yojana, after this the home page of the official website will open, on the home page you will see the option of DATA ENTRY.
After this click on DATA ENTRY, after clicking PMAY Rural online application login link will open. After this login registration with the help of Username and Password receive from Panchayat and Block level. After login, change the user name and password as per your convenience.
After this you will see 4 options on PMAY Online Login portal first PMAY G online application, second residence verification of photo taken by you, third approval letter download, preparation of order sheet for FOURTH FTO.
Open the registration form by clicking on the first PMAY G online registration from these four options.

After opening the registration form of PMAY G, four types of details First Personal Details, Second Bank A/C Details, Third Convergence
