SSC IMD Scientific Assistant Recruitment

They finally put out the official PDF covering vacancies, dates, and what you’ll actually be doing—mostly wrangling messy meteorological data and crunching numbers while pretending you totally predicted that sudden afternoon downpour. How to Apply Online for SSC IMD Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2026?
Navigating the SSC portal for the Scientific Assistant exam feels like stepping back into a 2004 web design nightmare, but we can knock this out without losing our sanity. Here is the unfiltered, survival-guide breakdown to get your application submitted.
- Find the Mothership: Fire up your browser and head over to gov.in. Click past the clutter, find the “Apply” section, and locate the IMD Scientific Assistant notification without getting sidetracked by random exams you aren’t even eligible for.
- The OTR Ritual: If you are new here, brace yourself for One-Time Registration. Type out your entire life story—tenth-grade roll numbers, ID proofs, and basic credentials. Upload a photo where you look semi-human, hit submit, and immediately write down your generated Registration ID somewhere safe so you don’t panic later.
- Log In and Breathe: Return to the main page, punch in those fresh credentials, and wait out the dashboard loading screen.
- Hunt Down IMD: Scroll through the endless list of active postings until you spot the India Meteorological Department Scientific Assistant link. Double-check you are clicking the right one—nobody wants to accidentally apply for an entirely different government sector.
