Akhil Marar belongs to a Hindu family of middle-class background. He was born in Kottarakkara, a town in Kerala, India. His parents are Rajendran Pillai and Ammini Amma. He tied the knot with his girlfriend Rajalekshmi Akhil on the first day of 2015. They have two lovely daughters, Parkrithi and Prarthana.
Career
Akhil Marar began his professional journey as a salesperson in a medical firm. He then became a regional manager in another medical firm. He left his job after he broke up with his girlfriend. Akhil started a juice stall called Alchemist at Kottathala, Kollam District, Kerala. He also pursued farming and grew crops on a farm near his home and on his rooftop.
He entered the film industry as an assistant director in 2015 with the Malayalam movie Perariyathavar (English – Names Unknown). Akhil directed his first Malayalam movie Oru Thathvika Avalokanam in 2021. He faced many difficulties and pressures while making his debut film.
