On July 25, 1948, Karaikudi, a desolate and deserted village in Tamil Nadu, was dressed up for a festival. A huge crowd of over one million gathered to witness the dawn of a new era in Indian science. - Only retired trainees in relevant NCVT pattern occupations as designated by the Director General of Employment and Training (D.G.E.&T) and registered with the Regional Apprentice Training Directorate (RDAT), Chennai will be considered.
Technician (Diploma)/ Graduate (Degree) Apprentices
- A full-time engineering/technology/non-engineering graduate student/degree awarded by a prestigious university/institution in a related field.
- Full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology awarded by the State Council or the Technical Education Commission established by the state government/universities/institutions in related fields.
Note: Graduate/ Technician applicants should have passed the qualifying exam in 2020/ 2021/ 2022/ 2024 are only eligible

- ITI: ITI trainees must be at least 14 years old at the time of interview.
- Technician/ Diploma: Minimum 18 years, maximum 24 years for Technician/Graduate Apprentice at the time of interview.
- Graduate/ Degree: Minimum 21 years and maximum 26 years for graduates/interns at the time of interview.
