Career
She began her career in 2013 as a fashion reporter for a Delhi-based company Apparel Online. She then became a trend researcher and content creator for Fashion Forward Trends. In May 2014, she moved to Razorfish and worked as a copywriter. Later, she worked as a digital content leader and developer. In 2016, she joined Times Internet and became a fashion editor there.
Thereafter, she join iDiva as a writer and got bump up to a fashion editor there. At iDiva, Kapila started creating videos for their Facebook page. While making the videos, she created the character Billi Masi, which later went on to become a huge hit and made her an internet sensation. She also portrayed many other characters that were well received by the audience, such as South Delhi Girl, Naina Mausi, Shagun Di, and more.
Dubut in film Industry
In 2020, she made her Kusha Kapila in the film industry with the Netflix anthology film Ghost Stories, directed by Karan Johar. She played the role of Misha, a newlywed bride who discovers a dark secret about her husband’s family. She also appeared in Netflix India’s YouTube show Behensplaining, where she and Srishti Dixit reviewed various movies and shows.
