During his pursuit of a master’s degree in Mass Communication at Guru Jambeshwar University of Science and Technology in Hisar, Rohit Sardana made a significant move to Delhi to embark on an internship with the ETV Network. Impressively, his performance during this internship led to a job offer while he was still in his final semester of studies. Prior to this, he had also gained experience as an announcer at All India Radio. Additionally, Sardana worked as a Video Toaster Editor alongside a Japanese team for a period of five months. Soon after, he began anchoring the 10 PM bulletin for ETV Network. After nearly a year with ETV, Sardana parted ways in 2003, reportedly earning a monthly salary of Rs. 72,000 when he left.
Between 2003 and 2004, he took on the role of an assistant producer at Sahara Samay. However, in 2004, Rohit Sardana made a pivotal career move by joining Zee News. Over the years, he held various positions at Zee News, including executive editor, anchor, news presenter, and show host. During his tenure there, he gained significant popularity as the host of ‘Taal Thok Ke,’ a program centered around contemporary issues in India. Additionally, he hosted several cricket-related shows on Zee News and covered prominent cricket events, including the ICC World Cup.
