About CTET December
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) established the minimal requirements for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII via Notifications dated 23rd August, 2010 and 29th JULY, 2011 in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act. A person must, among other things, pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), which will be held by the relevant Government in accordance with the Guidelines formulated by the NCTE, in order to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools mentioned in Clause (n) of Section 2 of the RTE Act.
The Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi has been given the task of administering the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Candidates are advised to exclusively use legitimate textbooks and NCTE-recommended curricula for their training in the field of education.
