About NIMR
The CMR-National Malaria Research Institute was established in 1977 as the Center for Malaria Research and was renamed the National Malaria Research Institute in November 2005. ICMR-NIMR is one of the bodies of the Indian Council for Medical Research (a self-governing body under the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India).
