The legislative body in charge of India’s waterways is the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI). The Indian Parliament established it in accordance with the IWAI Act of 1985. Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is home to its corporate headquarters. Inland waterways in India include a vast network of rivers, canals, backwaters, and creeks. Out of the 14,500 km total navigable length, mechanized ships may use around 5200 km of the river and 4000 km of the canals.

Deputy Director (Finance & Accounts)

EDP Assistant
- Candidates must hold a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field from an Indian institution of higher learning.

Junior Hydrographic Surveyor (JHS)
- Civil engineering degree or a civil engineering diploma combined with three years of experience in hydrography or land surveying

- Candidates must have completed their 12th grade or the equivalent through a reputable board or university.
- 10 minutes at 80 words per minute.
- 65 (English), 75 (Hindi), or 50 (English), 65 (Hindi), or 75 (English), on a manual typewriter, respectively.
Lower Division Clerk
- Candidates must have completed their 12th grade or the equivalent through a reputable board or university.
- On a manual typewriter, you can type 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. OR
- a computer typing speed of 30 wpm for Hindi and 35 wpm for English

The Commission/Department will accept the candidate’s entered date of birth in the BPSC 68th online application form and the date of birth listed on the Matriculation/Higher Examination Certificate to determine the candidate’s age; any subsequent requests for changes won’t be taken into consideration or granted.
