The Hamdard National Foundation (HNF) founded Jamia Hamdard University in 1989, and it is recognized as an institution of higher learning. At the Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR), Jamia Hamdard provides MBBS, BPT, BOT, and B.Sc (Medical) programmes on a full-time basis. The sole requirement for admission to these programs is a passing NEET UG score. Muslims in India are eligible for a 50% seat quota at Jamia Hamdard University. Open merit is used to fill 50% of the available seats. Below are the reservation information details:

  • at students whose parents work at Jamia Hamdard, one place in each subject is set aside.
  • 10% of places in UG courses are set aside for PWDs, Jamia Hamdard pupils, Hamdard Public School students, and students from Rabea Girls School.
  • Through the management quota, just a few places in each self-financing course are filled.
  • SC/ST students are entitled to a 5% reduction in the entrance test qualifying marks and scores. Students enrolled in distance learning (DODL) are given 4% of the reservations.
  • For pupils who are physically challenged, 5% of seats are set aside.
